Hollywood in Vienna Fanfare

Many of Steiner’s compositions for the »dream factory« Hollywood are truly unforgettable, some of them even immortal. One of his most famous creations is, without doubt, the theme for »Gone with the Wind«. One of the most heard, on the other hand, is his introduction piece for the Warner Bros. Studios, for which he worked between 1937 and 1953. Bruce Broughton created a fanfare exclusively for »Hollywood in Vienna« by using elements from these two timeless pieces to ensure that our concert evening starts in a dignified manner worthy of the Viennese »father of film music«.
